Piange Gold – Cream and Gold Tragic Sad Tragedia Masks

The Piange Gold Mask is a wonderful depiction of the theatrical ‘sad’ face that is synonymous with The Arts and used in theatre, television and drama.

With this stunning Venetian mask you can give your masquerade persona a tragic edge, whether you’re using it for mime in the theatre, as a Halloween costume, an interesting focal point for a masquerade ball outfit or simply to put on display as an unusual decorative piece in your home.

Whatever your intentions for this mask, you’ll find it has plenty to offer. Made using the traditional papier mâché technique where strips of dampened paper are layered onto a mould to create a plaster cast, the Piange Gold Mask has then been coated with a fine plaster resin ready for decoration.

With one half covered with gold leaf overlay and the other half of the face with antiqued cream acrylic paint, the Piange Gold has been beautifully decorated and is secured in place with silk ribbon ties attached to either side.

With its distinctive ‘sad’ or ‘crying’ face you can be the perfectly portray the tragic character at any kind of masquerade event.
