Cream and Gold Comic Happy Laughing Venetian Masks – Ride Gold

The Ride mask, which means ‘laughing’ in Italian, is a classic Venetian mask that depicts a comedic character in theatre, mime and drama with its smiling eyes and laughing mouth.

It has long been used in The Arts as a symbol of comedy and can make a fantastic centrepiece for any kind of masquerade costume, whether you’re performing mime in the theatre, heading to a Halloween costume party or just want an interesting talking-piece to put on display in your home.

This gorgeous mask has been made using the traditional papier mâché technique, where strips of dampened paper are layered onto a mould, dried and sanded smooth then given a coat of fine plaster resin to finish.

The Ride Gold mask from Just Posh Masks has been fabulously decorated with one half of the mask covered with luxurious gold leaf overlay, whilst the other half is coated with antiqued cream acrylic paint.

To wear the mask, there are two silk ribbon ties to secure it firmly in place.
