Colombina Rombi – Mans Black and Silver Leaf Eye Masks

The Colombina Rombi mask is a full of masculine charm with its silver and black colouring in a striking design that is sure to make you stand out from the crowd.

This stylish half-face mask with its smooth curved edges is simple in shape, but elaborately decorated with a chequered pattern in black, cream and silver. The mask itself has been handmade in Venice using a papier mâché technique where strips of dampened paper that have been soaked in polyvinyl acetate are layered onto a handmade plaster cast. The cast is then dried and carefully sanded to give a smooth finish.

It is then decorated by hand, using black and cream acrylic paints, along with silver leaf overlay to achieve the chequered pattern and raised silver lines to give the pattern more definition.

The Colombina Rombi Venetian mask is comfortably secured in place with silk ribbon ties on either side, but can also be ordered attached to a stick if you’d prefer to hold the mask to your face.
