Pantalone de’ Bisognosi, Italian for Pants of the Needy, is a character of Commedia Delle Arte, who is rich and greedy. Pantalone is “money” in the commedia world.

An intelligent character but is always the butt of every conceivable trick, who walks with a hunch back, not because of his age but because he is protecting his money bag.

Made from resin, decorated with a brightly coloured image of the famous character of Venice, edged in gold leaf and secures with silk ribbon ties

Can be worn to the Venice carnival, used as a theatre prop, or hung as a wall decoration
