Venetian Masquerade Masks with Musical Notes – Stucco Lady Gold

Our Women’s Stucco Gold Masquerade Mask is a very striking Venetian mask that will make a striking finish to any masquerade costume, whether you’re headed to a formal black tie masked ball or a fun masquerade costume party.

The raised ornate detailing and gold leaf overlay teamed with stylish musical notes makes for a winning combination. The mask itself has been handmade in Venice using the traditional papier mâché and features a raised three-pointed central structure. The papier mâché technique uses strips of paper soaked in polyvinyl acetate that are layered onto a mould to create a papier mâché cast, which is then dried, carefully sanded smooth and coated in a slip of plaster resin.

For the decoration, acrylic paints have been applied, along with raised swirl detailing that has been coated with gold leaf overlay and is wonderfully complemented by snippets of musical notes.

The Stucco Gold mask is supplied with silk ribbon ties to secure it in place and comes in a choice of gold or red. We also offer the option to order this mask attached to a decorated stick if you’d prefer, by choosing this option from the drop down menu.
