V for Vendetta Masks – Guy Fawkes Masks

The V for Vendetta Mask, also known as the Guy Fawkes mask, is an incredibly striking and iconic mask to wear to a masquerade ball or costume party.

It is a full-faced Venetian mask that has been wonderfully crafted using the traditional papier mâché technique, where dampened strips of paper are layered onto a plaster cast. Once dried, the mask has been carefully sanded smooth and coated in a white tempera to cover any imperfections.

The facial features and shadowing effect of Guy Fawkes, which include the eyebrows, moustache and pointy beard have been applied using acrylic paints.

Whilst this mask makes a fabulous centrepiece for a masquerade ball costume, it has also become a widespread international symbol for solidarity amongst group protesters against politicians, banks and financial institutions.

This full-faced mask not only provides full anonymity, covering the whole face, but also demonstrates their commitment to a shared cause.

This mask is definitely designed to make a statement, wherever you’re wearing it and can be held firmly in place with the silk ribbon ties attached to either side of the mask.
