This Colombina mask is made in Venice and hand decorated by Venetian artisans using the paper mache technique

The classic half face shape is painted with a cream acrylic which then has an antique glaze applied which is fast dried to give a cracked effect

The mask then has gold or silver leaf applied to the sides and finished with patches of macrame lace, dotted with crystals and pearls, and finished with braiding around the edges

Secures with cloth ribbon ties but can have a stick attached should you prefer to have a handheld mask
