Colombina Rombi – Mans Checked Gold Leaf Eye Mask

When it comes to a man’s masquerade mask, there are plenty of different styles and designs to choose from, but the Colombina is always a popular choice as it only covers half the face, yet still gives a certain element of mystery to your persona.

With the Colombina Rombi mask you can have a traditional Colombina mask with a difference; the striking harlequin style pattern gives an unusual finish that is sure to make you stand out from the crowd.

These striking masks are handmade in Venice using a papier mâché technique where strips of dampened paper that have been soaked in polyvinyl acetate are layered onto a handmade plaster cast. Once the cast is dried, the mask is then carefully sanded to give a smooth surface ready for decoration.

The distinctive decoration on the Colombina Rombi consists of acrylic paints, stucco and gold leaf overlay that are used to create the harlequin style pattern with raised gold edges to accentuate the diamond detailing.

You can order this mask in a choice of black, red, blue or green colouring and all masks come with cotton ribbon ties to secure them in place, unless you specifically order it to be mounted onto a baton.
