Colombina Commedia – Eye Mask with Venetian Characters

The Colombina Commedia half-face mask from Just Posh Masks is a unisex Venetian mask that makes for a stunning accessory to any kind of masquerade event, whether you’re heading to a formal Black Tie Masked Ball, Cruise Ship Masquerade Ball or to a masquerade themed wedding or costume party.

Only partially covering the wearers face, you can create a tantalising sense of mystery around your masquerade persona, whilst looking and feeling the part. This quality mask is handmade using a papier mâché technique, where strips of paper that have been soaked in polyvinyl acetate are placed in layers onto a handmade cast and left to dry. Once dry the masks are sanded to obtain a smooth surface and beautifully hand decorated using acrylic paint, raised gold leaf detailing that is inset with images of two Venetian Characters, the Arlecchino Jester and the Colombina Maid, and finished delicate gold braiding around the edges.

The mask is secured using silk ribbon ties, but can also be ordered to be mounted on a holding stick if you’d prefer.
