The mask itself is handmade in Venice using a papier mâché press technique, which layers strips of black paper soaked in polyvinyl acetate that are then pressed, dried and sanded to give a wonderfully smooth finish. The mask is then decorated with acrylic paints, contrasting sparkling gloss glitter and finished with a Filigree Metal Lace work of the Phoenix, which is achieved using high-tech laser cutting technology.

The ornate and intricate detail in the finish is wonderfully complemented with Swarovski crystals and diamante and is truly breath-taking.
