Black and Silver Budget Venetian Masquerade Mask – Colo Slim

If you’ve been invited to a masquerade party or masked ball and don’t want to spend a fortune on a masquerade mask to complete your outfit, but still want to look and feel fabulous, then this beautiful Black Colombina Slim is sure to meet your requirements.

It’s an elegant, feminine and refined half-face mask with an unusual shape that has beautifully scalloped edges and cut-out detail above the eyes, yet the good news is it comes at a very affordable price.

Handmade in Venice, dampened paper strips that have been dyed black and then soaked in polyvinyl acetate, are placed in layers onto a handmade plaster cast to create the Black Colombina Slim Mask cast. Once dried, the cast is then sanded to obtain a smooth surface ready to apply the decoration.

To finish this mask, black and silver acrylic paints and glitter have been used to decorate the mask with ornate patterns and swirl detailing.

This is a very comfortable mask to wear given its slim shape that doesn’t cover too much of the face and is secured in place with silk ribbon ties attached on either side of the mask.
