The full-faced Bauta is one of the most recognised Venetian masks having been worn as part of the Venice Carnival festivities for a number of centuries, where anonymity was a much desired prospect. It is often seen worn with a full-length black cape and Tricorn hat, so wearers can completely conceal their identity. The mask design is simplistic and practical with straight lines, eye holes, beaked nose and protruding chin that allows the wearer to eat and drink without having to remove the mask and reveal their face. Bauta Mosaic masks are secured using silk ribbon ties, but if wish to have an easily removable mask you can also select the option of mounting the mask onto a stick.
